Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Clinician 2 Resource Nurse has authority, responsibility, and accountability as follows: Develops an individualized plan of care for assigned patients.

Coordinates care for individual patients on a day to day (Login for information) for teaching patients new information.

Accountable for maintaining professional competencies.

Accountable for effective communication with patients/family, care team members and physicians regarding the patient's progress on the plan of care and response to treatment.

Oversees care assigned to paraprofessionals on the patient care team. Works in partnership with members of the team.

Gives input into peer evaluations. Consults with physician and team members regarding changes in patient's condition and revises the plan of care utilizing input of team members.

Supports roles of all coworkers. Operates within the scope of their practice as outlined by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

Requirements
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES

Current licensure as R.N. in State of Missouri.
ACLS is required within one year after hire
TNCC is required within one year after hire.
CCRN is preferred.
BLS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree in Nursing required
Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred
Minimum of one year as Clinician I or equivalent
